This tool is available in the group Clean | Generalise from the ribbon Geometry, when selecting at least one linestring or polygon.

The function uses the Douglas Peucker algorithm (algorithm for reducing the number of points in a curve that is approximated by a series of points). Three collinear points (X, Y) are not necessarily generalized, the function works in 3D, taking into account the Z.
