In MithraREM, you can integrate roofs that will be converted into buildings. These roofs will be taken into account during the simualtion.
A roof is only a geometry. The roof is linked to the building with an attribute. This results into 2 overlays in MithraREM. The building is stored as a polygon and the roof as a TIN.
During the simulation, a function converts these TIN in roof ridge.
The roofs cannot be created manually, they can only be imported. From the Building integration window, choose 3D Roof ou 3D GML.
3D roof
If the 3D Roof option is chosen, the option Polygons union is available. This option allows to regroup the roofs of a same building, this to avoid to create several buildings from roof parts representing only one building. For this, MithraREM can used an attribute.
3D GML
If the 3D GMD option is chosen, there is no draping option. The mode is not using an overlay but a file to be loaded from a directory.
Cross section
The roofs are represented in orange in a cross section.
Simulation
During the simulation, the roofs are taken into account for the diffractions.
