2D data

Page précédenteRetour chapitrePage suivante

For the buildings, 2D Data is used when the height of the buildings is an attribute/property of the objects. This can be the height of the building, the number of floors, the z of the roof. The polygon representing the building is its footprint on the ground.

Remark : MithraREM does not allow the integration of buildings in the form of multipolygons.

Error: Building integration (multipolygons)

Indeed, during the simulation, the building perimeter is traversed in a given direction. This allow the exterior of the building to always be know (it is either on the right or on the left, but never switches side).

In a multipolygon configuration, the exterior way alternate between right and left, which makes the exposure calculation inconsistent. This is why integrating buildings that contain multipolygons is not allowed.

In the following example, we go around the polygon at the bottom left in a clockwise direction, the inside of the building is therefore on our right at the start, but ends up on our left when we pass the intersection point of the two polygons.

If the buildings you want to integrate contain multipolygons, you can easily break them down with a single click using the decompose function.
