In this type of simulation, each building is represented by its facades. A simulation is done for each facade on each floor of the buildings. The domain of simulation is represented by a polygon. Only facades within this area are simulated.

Settings
On facade simulation
•Receiver resolution: maximum offset between two receivers at the same height (same floor of the building) along the facade.
•Receiver shift: offset distance between the receivers and the facade. This option has small influence on the calculation results outside areas where facade antennas are positioned very close to the receivers.
•Meshing method: this method is only available if the model has roofs. The areas of the image squared in blue correspond to the meshed areas.
oThe method Facade places receivers only on the facades. If roofs are present, the meshing stops at the bottom of the roof.
oThe method Facade-Roof places receivers on the facade and the roofs present in the layer Roof. Flat roofs are not meshed. Only inhabited roofs are meshed.
oThe method Envelope places receivers on the facade and the roofs (including flat roofs). This method is only available if an overlay Roof is present in the model.
