MithraSIG implements the following railway emission models:
Name |
Description |
NMPB08 |
Model published in June 2009 by SETRA. |
CNOSSOS-EU |
Adaptation of the model from Harmonoise and Imagine projects for the EU noise mapping from 2017. |
For NMPB each source(with speed V) has its own reference spectrum as well as the corresponding reference speed and corresponding slope factor.
The correction in these conditions is:
slope* log10(V/Vref)
Notice that without this correction, a faster train would produce less noise: its presence is shorter on each track.
Theory introduces a correcting term in 10*logV to quantify this phenomena.
The slope has often a value of 30 so that globally a faster train makes more noise!
