SIS is a European GIS that's used worldwide and published by the British company Cadcorp.

Intro_SIS

The power of the GIS offers users a great variety of options in the preparation of data and in the presentation and use of results:

Many read-on-the-fly and exportable formats: DXF, DWG, DGN, MIF/MID, TAB, SHP, GML3, etc. for vector and BMP, JPEG2000, TIFF, GeoTIFF, ECW, MrSID, etc. for raster.

Multiple projections, re-projections on-the-fly (Lambert93, LII, etc.).

Thematic assistant that enables detailed analysis of results (maximum noise level by buildings, buildings in noise black spots, etc.).

Improved mapping with SIS print Wizard.

Powerful, user-friendly DAO tools.

PDF export with a 'mini' GIS using export in layers with dynamic label display. This allows for easy distribution via the internet and grouping of all results maps (e.g. roads by day and by night, trains, etc.) in a single document for fast comparison.

Handling of a very high volume of data.

SIS is intuitive and has numerous wizards for easy and rapid use of the software, such as the Request wizard and Print wizard.
