This tool is avaible when an object is selected, in the group Modification | Helmert from the ribbon Geometry.
Principe
The Helmert tool allows to apply a transformation to the object, using 4 points of reference on the object and 4 projected points.
Helmert - Principe
In the above example, the rectangle has been transformed using the vectors AA', BB', CC' and DD'.
Example in MithraSIG
To move an object with Helmert:
•Select the object.
•Enable the tool Helmert.
•Do a first click to define a first origin point (a vertex of an object, corner of an image...): A.
•Do a second click to define the new position of the first origin point: A'.
•Do a third click to define a second origin point (a vertex of an object, corner of an image...): B.
•Do a fourth click to define the new position of the second origin point: B'.
•Redo the same for the 2 other points C and D.
