Moving an antenna follows special rules. Antennas are automatically draped on the DTM (depending on the altitude of the terrain). A check is made to see if the antenna is not in a building (moving an antenna MAH = 10 m in a building of 12 m). In case of conflict, it is possible to:
• reduce the height of the building.
• increase the antenna MAH.
• do nothing (so the antenna is located in a building and will be ignored by the simulation).
When a conflict is detected on the MAH, an alert (red icon) appears in the antenna interface.
Move an antenna
When moving one of several antennas, all the characteristics about the location of the antennas are automatically updated (z coordinates, altitude, z on the ground, etc). To move an antenna, there are 2 methods:
•Method 1: this method allows to move one or several antennas
oSelect the antenna(s). If antennas are superimposed, use the selection by list.
oRight-click/Move, or click on Move in the group Modification in the ribbon Geometry.
oThen click to sport the source location point (from where the move will start). The items are linked to the mouse cursor. Click one more time where you want to relocate the items (final point).
•Method 2: this method allows to move only one antenna
oSelect the antenna by clicking on it. If antennas are superimposed, use the selection by list.
oPlace cursor of the mouse over it, the cursor becomes a cross (animation below).
oClick and hold, then move the antenna where you want.
oRelease the click.
